Lawton Politics

It seems that this board goes through periods of posts and decline, it also seems like this board centers around local politics almost exclusively. However I hope that this post stirs some debate.

We are less than 325 days from electing a new president of the United States. With the race already in full swing, here in Oklahoma, we as a state, and community may not have all the choices that other in the country have. While, I am registered as a Democrat, I would like to point out that many people do not always vote party lines. With people such as Obama and Clinton being the favorites for the Democratic ticket, we may never see a third party candidate in our state. It is a shame that we will not have an opportunity to support the third party with a vote. Voter apathy extends beyond the confines of Comanche County, maybe if we had more choice things might change.
