Kirby, does he finaces his own Campaign?
I was looking for Mr. Kirby's contributions to his campaign. I could not find anything.
The only reference I found was the following web site where no one contributed.

If this site is correct, Mr. Kirby pays for everything out of his own pocket. This I must commend him on doing. It is not everyday that politicians pay for something them selves. But then if a qualified Manager was to take a job as a commissioner, and he was a good manager he would demand more the 55,000$ a year. Most manager of statue would laugh at this proposal.
I do not think Mr. Kirby is in this for social reasons.

Campaign Expense Reporting
I find it very interesting that no listing is available for the county commissioner race. But it has to be listed somewhere else. As I scrolled through the list on the link you posted I did not find any county office races listed.
Even if, and that is a big IF!, he funded his own campaign he would still have to file a report showing what he spent.
Maybe it is listed somewhere else but I could not find it anywhere. All I could find was his disclosure for the House of Representative for the 2002 race and it looks like there is still about $2,700.00 in it.
County campaign filings to ethics commission
The requirements for having campaign info on line just came into effect the first of July this year. It has been fought by the Democrats in the state since it was approved last year. The county offices have not been set up for online filings but there sure are absolute requiremtns to be followed. All the candidates who filed for election in this cycle all have filed with the state ethics board and they are available for you to see if you visit the capitol .The ethics office is in the basement and there are computers available there for you to view the info that is on line and can get copies at 25 cents a page. Since Kirby was not in this election cycle there will be nothing on him other than his zeroing out his house campagin funds which was required by law.Now dont take me as I am protectiong him,just letting you know what is happening, since I did spend some time today there at the ethics commission office checking out on hand info. And also spend some money for copies.....lol....makes for interesting reading and keep in mind I never say a word about anything unless I have a piece of paper in my hand to back up all I say and I got a nice handful as usual. Now can say things and show am telling it like it is when I do. PLus my filings are there since I am the only candidate who is really qualified to hold the postition of district 3 commissioner. Of course there will be some who disagree,especilly the developers who dont like the thoughts of there having to build thier own roads in the new sub divisions out in the county instead of having the county doing it for them. Take a ride around and check out the new devlopments... all the county road building equipment is in those places...not out repairing the existing roads as they should be doing. But then again... maybe thats how you get elected around here.... guess will be finding out ,you think?......
