Lawton Politics

Today, I was shocked by what I witnessed online. The The Lawton Metropolitan Planning Organization or LMPO has posted some information about the proposed Bike routes though Lawton. While this information is important to us as citizens, I would have to say that I am a bit disturbed at how they were doing this. The LMPO has posted a direct link to a secure FTP site of the vendors. While a link is not the problem, the fact that within the link is the userid and password for the FTP site is disturbing. I was surprised to find not only information about the Lawton project, but projects dealing with the Texas Department of Transportation, Tulsa, and several albums of Music up for download.

While I am far from being a security expert, one would think that there would be a better way to post this information than to give out a password or userid.
