Lawton's state Representative, T. W. Shannon (R), will speak at the Comanche County Republican Party's regular meeting on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Mr. Shannon will be speaking at 2314 W. Gore Blvd. at about 6:30 PM.
Mr Shannon, is currently seeking re-election for District 62.

Currently Mr. Shannon's opponent is Randy Warren (D). Mr. Warren is serving as the City of Lawton Councilman for Ward 8.
