I am sorry to say that I once was a supporter of Kirby's and my husband and I also know him. Heres a new concept for Kirby and his fellow crook to try. Lets try to bring in industry to give people jobs. Not more restauraunts and stores,But real industry with real jobs. Instead of trying to line the commissioners pockets with the money for selling out our hospital to yet more crooks.What!!and pass up that big fat finders fee he would get! Kirby has been an embarrassment to this community far to long. One thing I have noticed about him is nothing is ever his fault. Its time for him to slither back into the rocks. He needs to step down. He does not serve Comanche county,he only serves Kirby and is only interested in what can be done to further his own financial interests. Trips to Tenn. to sell comanche Memorial hospital,a brand new sports car at the same time he tried to sell the hospital. Trips to Vegas,and Mexico recently. Either we are paying our commissioners way to much or he is getting his pockets padded still. Just maybe its time we look deeper into this matter...hmmmmm Just a thought.
As far as his pediphile nephew that he demanded hired at the jail.He needs to quit trying to plead innocent
and using ignorance of the law as his defense. He knew what he was doing. He just thought the people of Comanche county were to stupid to notice.This county has enough problems without Kirby adding to them.

If you don't vote or pay taxes, don't complain
It cracks me up that people who complain the most, more than likely don't even vote or fully pay taxes. Mr. Kirby may not be perfect but at least he has stood up and done SOMETHING constructive for this community and state, while the complainers and backstabber's sit on their barstool and do nothing else worthwhile. If you think you can do a better job, get up and do it, instead of slandering folks you call friend to their face.

I heard from a very reliable source and close friend of Kirby that the only reason he ran for county commissioner was so that he could get more time in for a government retirement.
He worked for the Drewry’s for years and years and they never had a retirement program.
After RH died a 401(k) plan was put into place but that was about the time that Kirby left radio and ran for office.
He has 12 years at the state level and he wants at least 8 more to get a full retirement. If he gets re-elected then he will have his time in and the tax payers will fund his income for the rest of his life.

You are right, he did vote against it but only after he realized that he would not get re-elected if he had voted for it. There was a great deal of pressure put on him, and rightly so, to not vote for the agreement.
It is amazing how someone
It is amazing how someone thinks they know a guy inside and out. Commissioner Kirby did what he should have done - listen to all of the information from both sides. When it was all said and done - he knew what he thought from the beginning : that staying with CCMH was the only right choice.
The number of individuals here who show they have no true concept of fact never ceases to amaze me. Please do me a favor... lets try something: for one week, post nothing of allegations unless is is backing by PROVEN fact. I have a feeling that many here (if held to those rules) wouldn't have much to say.

Well, the one week, is over. It has been for several now. I have to say, that we have had plenty to say based on several other issues that have come up.
