Use of Legal Terms

Over the past few days it has been brought to my attention that some things on this it are thought to be "slanderous." My recent blog article, "About Unsigned Letters," addresses this issue.

However, I would like to point out a few things.

While the term Slander and Libel both convey a sense of defamation, Slander refers to the spoken word and Libel refers to the printed word. While both words convey similar meaning's they are hardly interchangeable. Since, we have yet to have Podcast published, and all comments are in the form of the written text, then the proper term to be used is Libel.

It is important to remember that when making claims that the approiate terms be used. If users of this website insist on using legal terms, then I must insist that the users of such terms understands the correct meaning of them and employ them correctly.
