So it seems that the voters in Lawton, did not approve of the School Bond by the needed 60%. I wonder, why that 60% was hard to obtain? If you voted for or against the school bond issue please tell us why.
Regarding the recent bond issue by Lawton Public Schools. I think that the voters in our community support the proposed plan for the money, just not by the 60% super majority required under state law. I also understand some of the reasons why people are against it. The resources that would have been provided will have to be found else where. I am a bit surprised with the campaign that went on, that at least one of the bonds did not get passed.
